There is a lot of uncertainty over the future of Trey Hendrickson. The defensive end wants the Cincinnati Bengals to give him a contract that's on par with edge rushers like the Houston Texans' Danielle Hunter and the Las Vegas Raiders' Maxx Crosby. Both the stars earn around $35 million a year.
Joe Burrow's former teammate Lawrence Guy believes that the Bengals should pay Hendrickson what he wants. The defensive end has proven his worth on the gridiron. Last season alone, he made 17.5 sacks and became the 2024 NFL sack leader.
"Pay the man what he's due," Guy said during Saturday's episode of the "Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams." (01:03 to 01:35) "We only get a short time in this game to get a certain amount of money. Yes, he's blessed to have what he has now, but give him what he's earned. He's sweat out there. He's bled out there. He gave everything for the team.

The Cincinnati Bengals' DE Trey Hendrickson to sit out the 2025 NFL season?
NFL insider Jeremy Fowler believes that due to Trey Hendrickson's current contract dispute with the Cincinnati Bengals, he may not play a single game during the upcoming season.
Hendrickson wants a respectable long-term contract, but the franchise has been hesitant to give him one. If the Bengals don't make a deal before the 2025 season starts, they may lose the anchor of their defense.
"If no deal occurs, I've spoken to several people who believe Hendrickson very well might follow through on his promise to miss games or even the season. 'He's extremely dug in,' a source said. -- Fowler." the article stated.
It'll be interesting to see what the future holds for four-time Pro Bowler.
