‘Quiet assassin’ – Eagles’ Darius Slay reveals which WR reminds him of Antonio Brown

Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Darius Slay is one of the most respected cornerbacks in the league.

The 10-year veteran has been named to five Pro Bowls and competed in his first Super Bowl last month with the Eagles.

Over his 10 seasons, he's lined up against many of the league's top receivers.

Via "The Volume", Slay named the five best receivers he has faced this season while comparing one of them to Antonio Brown.

Slay said:

"I'm gonna start off with number five. He's a rookie man. From the Saints, Chris Olave. Rela good man, he's got a bright future, man, that's my boy. At numbe four, my boy Dionate Johnson man, from Pittsburgh. That boy is a dog, he's a real quiet assassin man, he remind me a lot like AB man, a great vertical guy. At number three, Philly fans, please don't be mad at me. CeeDee Lamb is at my number three."

Slay then revealed the top two best receivers he has faced this year.

He added:

"At number two, I got lot of respect for, dude plays hard every play Scary Terry. And atb number one, ya'll all know who at number one. Arguably the best receiver in the game that bot Jets (Justin Jefferson.)"

The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Diontae Johnson in the third-round of the 2019 NFL draft.

He joined the team in the first season they were without Antonio Brown. Brown departed the team following the 2018 season as he requested a trade out of Pittsburgh.

Both wide outs are 5 ft. 10 inches with Brown weighing 185 lbs. and Johnson weighing 183 lbs.

Their pre-draft measurables are very similar, too. They both have a nine-inch hand span, and Brown ran his 40-yard dash .05 faster. Additionally, they both have a vertical jump of 33.5 inches and did almost the same amount of bench press reps, as Johnson did two more reps at 15.

In his first four seasons, Johnson has been named a second-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler once. AB has been named to seven Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams in his entire career.

While they are two different wide-outs, both play similarly and can be compared to having similar playing styles.

While he hasn't officially retired, Brown's NFL career is almost guaranteed to be over. The receiver stormed off the field during the Bucs' Week 17 game vs. the Jets in 2021, and never returned to the field.

He recently purchased an ownership stake in the Albany Empire of the National Arena League
