Humphrey appeared to be surprised by the Packers' decision to release Alexander, especially since the team made the move a few days before the mandatory three-day minicamp, which begins on Tuesday.

The Ravens drafted Humphrey with the No. 16 pick in 2017. He has established himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the league ever since, earning four Pro Bowl honors.

Per reports, the Packers are releasing Alexander due to a combination of financial reasons and issues with the player's availability. The cornerback signed a four-year, $84 million contract in 2022. Green Bay will reportedly save more than $17 million in salary cap space with Alexander's release.

Furthermore, Alexander played injury 14 total regular-season games across the past two seasons due to a litany of injuries, including to his groin, back, shoulder and knee.
