Ravens urged to pay Lamar Jackson big bucks - “He does more than Aaron Rodgers”

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are yet to agree on a contract extension, and that has left the quarterback's future in thin air. As per Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Ravens' final offer included $133 million fully guaranteed on a six-year deal, but Jackson was seeking close to $230 million as guaranteed money.

Many are outraged that the Ravens have stalled their offer for Jackson, and Buffalo Bills star Von Miller claims that Jackson deserves to be paid like Aaron Rodgers since he does more things than the Green Bay Packers quarterback.

Here's what Von Miller said about Lamar Jackson on the Voncast:

"He does more than Aaron Rodgers, he throws, he passes, he does everything man, and they got Aaron Rodgers getting 50 million a year."

Jackson's teammate Mark Andrews also agreed with Miller's statement and said:

"You're spitting facts man, he's like you said like everything you said is true man. He deserves it. He deserves more man. He's a he's a fierce competitor every time he steps on that field, he's the one he's he's the guy. There's no one like him, you know?"

Andrews continued:

"So, he's a very special guy and I know he's gonna get paid and I just hope that you know the deal gets done because I know the Ravens want to get the deal done. I you know, I think that you know, you know, he wants to be Raven as well. So, hopefully both parties can get together to get that done."

Earlier, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had also stated that the franchise will extend Lamar Jackson soon, and now Mark Andrews is speaking publicly about it, which appears to be good news for Ravens fans..

There aren't many players like Lamar Jackson in the NFL, and when you get a quarterback like that, you need to make sure you have them for a long time.

Lamar Jackson will be difficult to replace for Ravens

If the Baltimore Ravens lose Jackson, he will be difficult to replace. The Atlanta Falcons have already expressed interest in acquiring Jackson if he becomes available, and they will not be the only team to pursue Jackson if he becomes available.

The Ravens are Super Bowl contenders every season because of Jackson, but injuries to key players have robbed them of the opportunity to make a major run for two seasons in a row.

Hopefully, the Ravens will be able to resolve Jackson's contract situation and be set for a successful season next year with a new offensive coordinator.
