"Rushers are the new QB": Abdul Carter gets candid after Micah Parsons shines in Packers' 27-18 win over Commanders

The Green Bay Packers have started the season with two consecutive wins. The second win came on the back of an impressive performance by Micah Parsons, defeating the Washington Commanders 27-18 on Thursday.

The Packers fans got a taste of Parsons' excellent rushing game in the win over the Commanders. While the fans were impressed by the former Dallas Cowboys star's dominance, New York Giants rookie Abdul Carter had a candid take on X.

"RUSHERS are the new QB, we impact the game & winning just as much!! Micah proved it last night!"

Parsons was credited with half a sack, but the defensive end had Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels quiet for most of the game, who was pressured 21 times and sacked four times.

The Packers defensive end recorded eight quarterback pressures in just 44 snaps. Following the game, Parsons said he is ready to take more snaps

"Honestly, it's pissing me off," Parsons said. "I tell them it does more worse than good. I get tight and stuff. Hopefully they just let me off, man. Can't hold a dog back forever."

Micah Parsons reveals how a trade to Packers has motivated him this season

While Micah Parsons has elevated a stacked Packers defense after just two games, his signing with the team came after a dramatic contract negotiations with the Cowboys ended in a trade to Green Bay.

His trade to the Packers came a few days before the season opener and the four-time Pro Bowler revealed how the move has fuelled his performance at the start of the season.

"There's nothing more motivating then when you find out that people you love don't truly believe in you and they thought less of you," Parsons said.

Despite his limited sacks in the opening two games for the Packers, he has already emerged as a fan favorite. During the Commanders game Packers fans chanted Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' name to thank him for the trade.
