Russell Wilson is off to a very poor start to his career with Denver Broncos. Following his departure from the Seattle Seahawks, doubts have begun creeping into the minds of people that Pete Carroll was protecting him.
Geno Smith has played exceptionally well since replacing Wilson in Seattle, and that has brought more pressure on Mr. Unlimited. A large part of Wilson's struggles can be blamed on Nathaniel Hackett, but the new Denver Broncos quarterback hasn't played well either.
Chris Simms recently stated that Wilson was holding the Seahawks back, and following his departure, the team from Seattle is playing even better with a younger roster.
"I'm questioning myself and all this. Maybe we just the way it looks right now, for Russell, maybe Seattle was playing a certain way and things to wear. Yeah, they didn't trust Russ or Russ didn't like some of these plays."

Russell Wilson needs to prove his doubters wrong
The Denver Broncos are currently 2-5 with one of the best defensive units in the NFL, while the Seattle Seahawks are 4-3 with Geno Smith as their quarterback. Geno Smith has been an MVP candidate this season, and Wilson's name is being regularly discussed among the worst quarterbacks in the NFL this season.
He has faced continuous criticism for all of his activities both on and off the field, and the only way Wilson can overcome them is by performing on the field. So far this season, Russell Wilson has thrown for 1,442 yards for just five touchdowns and three interceptions.
Although he isn't fully healthy, Wilson needs to show up against the Jaguars and lead his team to a win or else the situation will get even worse with Hackett gone.
