Russell Wilson might be under 6 feet tall, but his hand size sets him apart from any quarterback in the league. Measuring at a staggering 10.25 inches, the Denver Broncos star currently has the largest hand size of any QB currently in the NFL.

The only others to come close would be Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers and Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen with hands that measure 10.12 inches. The average hand size for an NFL QB over the past decade was measured at 9.7 inches. This would comfortably put him over half an inch above the league average.

What makes Wilson truly an anomaly, though, is his height-to-hand size ratio. Legendary quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning and Donovan McNabb are both well over 6 feet tall but have a smaller hand size than that of Russell Wilson.

To further emphasize just how big Wilson's hands really are, one can check the measurements of his contemporaries. Joe Burrow, Kenny Pickett, and Jared Goff to name a few. All three QBs mentioned have hands that are over an inch smaller than that of the former Seattle Seahawks star.

Put up against the likes of DeForest Buckner and Mo Alie-Cox, even Wilson pales in comparison. All three were recorded to have a hand size of 11.75 inches at the NFL Combine.

Why is Russell Wilson underwhelming in Denver?

The Broncos superstar is currently on pace to throw just 14 touchdown passes this NFL season. For Russell Wilson, this would be a new career low.

In terms of interceptions as well, the QB is expected to finish with 10 by the time the regular season is wrapped up. Wilson's performances have certainly taken a massive hit this year since his trade from the Seattle Seahawks.

But what is the reason behind Wilson's dip in form? While many analysts have listed various reasons, we believe the main factor affecting his play is down to how the Broncos have utilized him this season.

Wilson thrived in Seattle when he was allowed to operate as a scrambler instead of dropping back and sitting in the pocket as a traditional QB. Opening up the pocket with his movement is something the Broncos has excelled at as a player and seems to be the system that brings out the best in him.
