Things have not gone according to plan for Russell Wilson ever since his trade to the Denver Broncos. The perennial Pro Bowler had by far the worst season of his illustrious NFL career with a return of just 16 touchdowns for a whopping 11 interceptions.

Wilson looked like a shadow of his former self in what can only be described as a disaster of a campaign. His sub-par performances definitely didn't do him any favors in winning over the trust of his new teammates. Now it seems that his weightage in Seattle has taken a hit as well.

Appearing on the 2up2down podcast, rookie sensation Tariq Woolen was asked about his first impression of Wilson. It's safe to say that Woolen did not hold back with his judgment:

"When you see him in person, it's like, weird, he's like a sack of potatoes... Literally when I saw him, I'm like, 'Dang, I didn't know he was built like that.' And he was short. I'm tall anyway, but I was like, 'Damn, he's that short?!'"

While Woolen stands at a towering 6'4", Wilson scales in at roughly 5'11". The two have never played together but must've briefly interacted with each other before the QB was traded to Denver.

The disrespect the quarterback is facing is nothing new. Even his own Broncos teammates, at times, could not hold back their frustration at the quarterback's inadequacies.

Things not going to get any easier for Russel Wilson under Sean Payton

Sean Payton is known for his tough love. A bonafide coaching legend and Super Bowl winner, he is now tasked with taking the Broncos back to the very top.

With changes required all across the field, Payton made it clear that no player will get any sort of preferential treatment with him taking over as head coach. Not even Mr. Unlimited. It was reported that the QB was allowed to have his personal staff inside the building, something that Payton has immediately addressed:

"That’s foreign to me. That’s not going to take place here. I’m unfamiliar with it, but our staff will be here, our players will be here and that’ll be it."

The Broncos have already traded away massive draft capital to get their franchise QB and Payton on board. With both being key assets en route to the team's hopes of a revival, they will have to get along and set the precedent for the Broncos' success in 2023 and beyond.
