Hours before Aaron Rodgers debuts with the New York Jets, Netflix has made a major announcement. On December 17, a new docuseries titled Aaron Rodgers: Engima will hit the platform.

From the Netflix teaser, it seems the series will center around Rodgers's Achilles injury, which he sustained in the opening snap of the 2023 season.

In the teaser, the 4x Pro Bowler is seen with a bandaged foot, talking about football. A reporter asks Rodgers about his recovery, which could motivate people worldwide.

However, some fans are already panning the documentary due to the QB's stance on vaccines and the controversy that followed it in 2021. One fan said:

"Should be titled Fall from Grace"

Another said the project is not interesting to fans.

"The documentary absolutely no one asked for."

Other fans also blasted the upcoming docuseries.

"I'll definitely make a note to miss it," one fan said,
"Nobody wants to see this s**t @netflix, he’s a great athlete but one of this biggest pieces of s**t this world has ever seen," another user claimed.
"Lord grant mercy to these jets fans bc this is about to be unhinged af" one fan said.
"LOLLOLOLLLLLL you misspelled 'Idiot'" another fan took a shot at Rodgers.

New book reveals Aaron Rodgers's biggest PR blunder

However, the docuseries isn't the only recent content circling A-Rod. Ian O'Connor released a book titled "Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers" in late August.

In the book, the author addressed the Covid vaccine controversy Rodgers had in August 2021 when he lied to reporters about being immunized.

"I did say to him, 'Why didn’t you tell the truth that day you were asked if you were vaccinated?' And he effectively said, 'Yeah, I should have done that.' He feels like he gave critics the one thing they really still have on him today. That was such a major public relations hit for him to absorb, and I don't think, JB, he's recovered from that." While some scoff at his upcoming Netflix docuseries, could exposure from the program help Rodgers revamp his media image and regain the trust of fans?
