"Shut it down 16": NFL fans react as Trevor Lawrence looks at possible season-ending surgery

Trevor Lawrence's season might be prematurely over due to a severe shoulder injury. Consequently, Jacksonville Jaguars, who were ready to make a playoff push are now in an uncertain state.

As NFL insider Dianna Russini reported on X, the Jaguars QB has suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder and the team is still consulting medical experts to make a decision.

"QB Trevor Lawrence is out today and could miss the rest of the season because of a serious AC joint sprain," read Russini's tweet.

Once the post went viral, NFL fans swarmed in to respond to the limbo.

“'Options' yeah fire the HC or ima make a business decision," one fan said.

The QB's injury happened during the Jaguars' 28-23 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 3.

That said, as Trevor Lawrence's season-ending injury is looming large, his wife, Marissa is basking in her pregnancy. The couple is expecting their first child, a daughter.

Marissa is excited for her birthday weekend as her husband, Trevor Lawrence, awaits his team's decision to sideline him for the rest of the season. Taking to Instagram, Marissa posted a series of adorable pictures with Trevor, family and friends, while flaunting her baby bump.

"Kicking off the birthday weekend with some of my favorite people ✨ I’m so grateful to have so many amazing family and friends in my life. I love you guys🤍," read the caption of the social media post.

Trevor and Marissa, who are high school sweethearts and got hitched in 2021, announced the news of the pregnancy in June 2024.

"Trevor and I found out pretty early about babygirl. I recently got off birth control because we wanted to start trying in a year and I’ve known people personally that have taken a year for their bodies to adjust," read the first part of the IG post, sharing they are having a baby together.

The due date of arrival of the Jaguars QB's baby has not been revealed yet.
