Pat Freiermuth expressed his belief in Mason Rudolph ahead of 2025 NFL season

In March 2025, Mason Rudolph started his second stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers, after signing a two-year contract worth $7.5 million. The quarterback started his NFL journey with the Steelers, who drafted him in the third round of the 2018 draft, as the 75th pick.

Rudolph stayed with them until the 2023 season before joining the Titans in March 2024. Following Rudolph's return, Freiermuth expressed his belief in the quarterback, on the Kaboly and Mack podcast in April.

“As guys on the team, we have all the belief in Mason. You know he made some big plays when he was here last, winning three straight games to make the playoffs. Whatever happens, happens, but we will see," Freiermuth said.

Two months after hiring Mason Rudolph, the Steelers signed Aaron Rodgers on a one-year contract worth $13.65 million.

Rudolph could start behind Rodgers, but considering the ex-Jets quarterback's struggles in the last couple of seasons, Rudolph has a good chance to prove his importance to the Steelers.
