Angry Colts fans slam officiating crew for failing to call DPI on Steelers on team's final drive on MNF

The Indianapolis Colts have slumped to their seventh loss of the season as the Pittsburgh Steelers produced a defensive stand to secure a 24-17 win at Lucas Oil Stadium on Monday Night Football.

The Colts were horrible in the first half as Matt Ryan and his offense could not get anything going. The Steelers, led by Kenny Pickett, took a 16-3 lead into halftime. After the break, the Colts were a different team and got the margin back to a single score.

Ryan had the ball in the fourth quarter, needing a touchdown to win. But facing a fourth down with under 30 seconds to go, the quarterback couldn't connect with receiver Parris Campbell. The Steelers would then kneel out to take the road win. But fans have roasted the NFL officials for missing what they believe to be pass interference on that fourth-down call.

"That’s a flag you dirty refs."

Another fan took it a step further with their anger. WARNING: COARSE LANGUAGE USED BELOW.

Other Indianapolis fans agreed, saying that the Steelers defender should have been flagged for getting to Campbell too early.

It appears that most Indianapolis fans are in agreement that the officials missed the pass interference call.

The bubble appears to have burst on interim head coach Jeff Saturday's tenure at Indianapolis. The Steelers won the game due to their superb first half. For Matt Ryan and co, the offensive ineptitude was again on show.

Ryan threw for 199 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, while rookie tight end Jelani Woods caught eight passes for 98 yards as he was Indianapolis' best receiving weapon.

It doesn't get any easier for Indianapolis as they travel to face the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday night.
