Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are still in the middle of deciding whether or not the four-time MVP will return to the team in 2023.

Rodgers is contemplating forcing a trade, retirement, or possibly returning to the Packers for another season.

The Office star Brian Baumgartner, best known as Kevin Malone, joined Good Morning Football to speak about the situation. The lifelong franchise fan thinks the Packers GM has aggravated Rodgers by saying the team would be ready to move on from him for Jordan Love.

"The story comes out that they were ready to move on the middle of last year when they were on a losing streak. Why is that story coming out? I mean, you guys are. No, it doesn't come out unless somebody wants it to come out.
"And that makes no sense because, one, you're either aggravating him. It would aggravate me if I heard that story. Or two, if you are ready to move on, like if that's truly the perspective, you've only devalued what you can get back in a trade if other teams know you're ready to move on.
"So that position to me is exactly the same as when they they drafted Love. They're not using your brain and respecting the guy and making a decision. Either. You make a decision, let him make a decision if he wants to go somewhere else. But that back and forth makes no sense to me."

Rodgers recently finished submerged from his darkness retreat that he went on to find peace and focus on making a decision.

He made an appearance on the Aubrey Marcus podcast this week and said that a decision will be made soon.

Rodgers said:

“There’s a finality to the decision. I don’t make it lightly. I don’t want to drag anybody around. I’m answering questions about it because I got asked about it. I’m talking about it because it’s important to me. If you don’t like it and you think it’s drama, and you think I’m being a diva or whatever, then just tune it out. That’s fine.
"But this is my life. It’s important to me. I’ll make a decision soon enough and we’ll go down that road. I’ll be really excited about it.”

The Packers and many other teams interested in trading for him want to know his decision sooner rather than later.

If he decides to retire or be traded, Jordan Love will be the next man up for the Packers.
