NFL fans react as Dallas Mavericks tag Travis Kelce as "Taylor's boyfriend" on social media - "They did bro dirty"

Minnesota Timberwolves v Dallas Mavericks - Game Three
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were courtside for the Mavericks game

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are enjoying some free time as the NFL season gets closer. The deadly quarterback-tight end duo was spotted watching the Dallas Mavericks game on Sunday, as Luka Doncic's team moved up 3-0 against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals, and are one game away from the NBA Finals.

As both Kansas City Chiefs players were sitting courtside, it was impossible not to note their presence at the arena. However, the Mavericks' social media team had a laugh at the tight end's expense: while Mahomes was called by his name, Kelce was called Taylor Swift's boyfriend, even though he's one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the league.

NFL fans didn't miss the opportunity to poke fun at the tight end, appreciating the joke made by the Mavericks' social media team:

"It’s great to see Mahomes, a Texas-born kid showing up for his home team," said a fan.
"Travis supports his friend Pat, but fans of Dallas booing him," noted another one.
"I love how people in these comments think Travis hates being called Taylor’s boyfriend, when in fact he loves it, and is proud of it," a third fan said.
"Taylor Swift's boyfriend", that's savage. Give the Community Manager a raise," added a fourth fan.

Can Mahomes, Kelce lead Chiefs to another Super Bowl in a loaded AFC?

Between Baltimore, Cincinnati and Kansas City, arguably the least strong roster is the Chiefs for 2024, You also have to include the Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets and Miami Dolphins as possible threats to Kansas City's dominance in the AFC.

In previous years, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce made up for the roster's weaknesses, and it's largely because of them that the Chiefs made the Super Bowl for the fourth time in six years. Winning three rings in such a short amount of time is already impressive, but they have only one goal in 2024: the three-peat.

Mahomes, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will open up the season at home against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5.
