Tom Brady gives bizarre explanation for Bucs not calling timeout during final seconds vs. Browns

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a huge loss in overtime to the Cleveland Browns. The Browns, led by Jacoby Brissett, scored a late touchdown in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime.

Although Brady and the Bucs had the opportunity to win the game in regulation time, poor clock management cost them the game. They had three timeouts remaining but didn't use one until only eight seconds were left on the clock.

Due to this, Brady had to throw a hail mary at the end, which didn't convert. After the game, Brady was asked about the situation, and he said:

"It's a tough situation. You know, it was in the end, they just made the plays. And we then I mean, we had just up to same opportunities to make plays that they didn't, they made them we didn't that's ultimately what comes down to someone's got to make them..."

Brady continued:

"For every play that you give up on defense, they make an offense and vice versa. You know, they stop you on defense, you don't make a play on offense. So it's just every plays in individual winner loss and just losing too many."

With this loss to the Browns, the Buccaneers are now 5-6. They are still at the top of the NFC South and have a 0.5-game lead over the Atlanta Falcons.

The Cleveland Browns will be delighted with this win as they are set to welcome Deshaun Watson back next week. He will make his debut for the franchise against his former team, the Houston Texans.

The Browns are still in playoff contention, and if Watson plays the way everyone knows he can play, this team could be pretty good going forward.

Tom Brady set to face his arch-nemesis next week

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the New Orleans Saints next week.

Since arriving in Tampa, Tom Brady has struggled quite a bit against the Saints, and it is going to be a tricky game for the Bucs.

The Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers are trying to catch the Buccaneers in the race for the division title, and due to that, the Buccaneers need to win next week.

The Saints have been disappointing this season and were shut out by the San Francisco 49ers this week. Quarterback Jameis Winston is upset about losing his place, while Andy Dalton isn't playing any better. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers will hope to capitalize on this glaring issue for the Saints next week.
