Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins lost to the Packers on the road at Lambeau Field in freezing conditions, dropping their record to 5-7. The defeat dealt Miami a serious blow to their chances of making the playoffs.

The Dolphins quarterback entered this game with a 0-4 record in sub-40 conditions. He now leaves with a 0-5 record. The narrative that took hold last season when they lost in the Wild Card round in freezing conditions against the Kansas City Chiefs is set to continue.

That was the impression fans had on social media as well as they took to X/Twitter to say that Tua Tagovailoa and Miami are a fairweather team that is better suited to the warm climes of their home stadium.

Here are some reactions from fans on X:

The responses continued to pile on the quarterback and the team as the Dolphins left Lambeau Field with a bitter taste in their mouths:

"Man Tua really can’t play in the cold huh. Good thing he doesn’t play a sport where every meaningful game is played in the cold" - wrote one fan sarcastically.
"Tua in the cold is dogshit LMAOOOO" - trolled another.
"Tua stinking it up again in the cold" - opined a third.

Narrative continues against Tua Tagovailoa despite great individual performance versus Packers

What will frustrate the Dolphins quarterback the most is that they lost a game that they could have won and missed a chance to go to a 0.500 record for the season. They have now dug themselves into a hole and are falling behind in the race for the playoffs in the AFC, with the season dwindling down.

However, what must also irk the Miami star is that he did everything other than win in the cold today. He had a completion perception of 80.4. He threw for 365 yards and two touchdowns. He had no interceptions. He finished with a passer rating of 114.2. That is a far cry from the statistics that were shown before the game began. But the narrative will continue because the Dolphins lost away from home in freezing weather.

This loss came down to a muffed punt return that gave the Packers a first-and-goal after a three-and-out. The Dolphins were already trailing 7-0 when their offense came out for the first time. Multiple penalties did not help their cause either. In the end, freezing conditions hurt them less than their own inability to take chances.
