Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's playing future is up in the air. He sustained multiple concussions this season, and while many feel it would be in his best interest to step away from the game, his parents think differently.

Tagovailoa's parents are the closest to his situation. They are best positioned to comment on what their son will do next season.

Who will win the Super Bowl?

So, heading into next season, can we expect to see Tua under center for the Miami Dolphins? If his parents' comments are anything to go by, then the former Alabama star will be playing for Mike McDaniel's franchise.

Tua's father, Galu Tagovailoa, said via outkick.com:

“He’s great, he’s doing fine and he’s happy. That’s the most important thing as parents, you like to see your kids with a smile on their face. Those of you who supported our family, thank you so much.
"He comes back (next year). That’s their guy. They love him, we love him, and we love what they’re doing. He’s still going through his protocol, but we’re thankful for them, too.”

So there you have it, Tua will likely be returning for the Dolphins next season. This will likely have mixed reactions from the football world. But if Tua wants to play, then there will be no stopping him.

But with his concussion issues, many are concerned about his long-term health, especially if he suffers another concussion.

The Dolphins had a 8-1 record with Tua in the lineup this season. That'll help convince the team to bring him back.

For whatever reason, the wheels fell off in dramatic fashion for the Dolphins. They lost four straight games to the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, the Buffalo Bills and the Green Bay Packers.

While they have the potential to be a Super Bowl contender, they haven't been able to get over the hump. The Dolphins will have a lot of work to do this offseason to address their roster deficiencies.

Due to his concussion issues, many are watching Tagovailoa like a hawk. Another hit to the head could be the end of his career.

Tagovailoa has amassed 708 pass completions, 8015 passing yards, 52 touchdowns and 23 interceptions in three seasons. He posted a career-high 68.8 QB rating in 2022.
