Tyler Boyd claps back at Isaiah McKenzie’s outlandish claim about Bills vs Bengals playoff game - “We just different lil man”

Isaiah McKenzie and Tyler Boyd got into a bit of a Twitter spat after the former Buffalo Bills wide receiver sought to diagnose their problems about the last season. The Bills lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round playing at home.

McKenzie has a theory why they did so. He blamed the weather and the home team not adjusting to the snowy conditions. He said that the routes they were running involved more direction changes, which were difficult in the slippery outfield.

Had they played more basic routes, as he surmised the Bengals did, the Bills would have won. He detailed:

“The Bengals ran basic routes; maybe we should've did that, ran basic routes. Like out routes, go balls, you know, instead of running routes that you have to be going lateral or coming back to the football, or turning and running curls and things like that. If we were in a dome, it would have been a totally different game.”

Naturally, Tyler Boyd, who was on the winning side, took exception to that. He clapped back that it'srecognizing that difference that saw them make their second consecutive AFC Championship game:

Home advantage is given in the playoffs to the team with a better record in the divisional round, as it's expected that they would be able to navigate the conditions better.

Having knowledge about the stadium and being able to prepare in it is supposed to tilt the playing field towards the team that had a better win-loss ratio during the regular season.

Playoff football takes place in January, so it's not a stretch to imagine snow in Buffalo at the time. If what McKenzie says is true, it shows a shocking lack of preparation on their part. Fans were quick to pile on as well, backing Tyler Boyd's take on the situation.

However, the operative word in the whole spiel by Isaiah McKenzie might not be what transpired before but where he is now. While Boyd remains with the Cincinnati Bengals, the former Bills player is now with the Indianapolis Colts, who play in a dome.

Maybe that is his way to ingratiate himself with his new employers. Either way, if the Colts do make the playoffs this season, we will know if they can fare any better than the Bills last season.If they do need to go to a snowy field, hopefully, they will be prepared for it.
