The Miami Dolphins got stronger on Sunday, when a trade between them and the Los Angeles Rams was announced. The deal added star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Dolphins' roster in exchange for a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long.

Adding Ramsey to a Dolphins roster that has already made the playoffs and almost caused an upset in the AFC Wild Card Round can only make them stronger. This is especially so with Vic Fangio leading the defense. But the new defensive coordinator is not the only guy happy with the new addition.

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill had his share of battles against Ramsey, and the two came together at a weird moment during the 2023 Pro Bowl. This was when the defensive back hit the receiver during a flag football game. They have also been trading some blows through the media in the form of trash talk.

However, there was a time when they nearly fought for real - and Hill was 'going for the bullies', as he said. He was asked by Jake Paul during an appearance on his podcast about which athlete he wanted to fight and chose the cornerback.

"I really want some of Jalen Ramsey though, for real," Hill said. "If we just being completely honest right here. ...I just wanna go at the bully."

Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey's history

There's a lot of respect between the two guys, but there have also been some jabs. In 2018, the cornerback made it clear how he respected Hill's game - just not as a wide receiver.

"I don't like how whoever has made it a matchup of me against Tyreek. He's good for what he does for a team," Ramsey said. "He made All-Pro as a return specialist. Let's get that right: as a return specialist his rookie year. He went to two Pro Bowls, as a return specialist — return specialist. Two years, I made All-Pro in my position as a corner. I went to the Pro Bowl as a corner. So it's not a wide receiver versus corner matchup."

Hill wanted a matchup against him, but made clear his opinions on the now-Dolphins cornerback:

"He thinks high of himself. He's all right, I guess. I can't wait to line up against him. I hope he presses me. He's a great player. To get my name out there more, I need to go up against more talent like him. I'm not calling Chris Harris or nobody else bad, but he's top dog right now, so I can't wait."
