Rob Gronkowski's first Super Bowl win was the 2015 Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. However, while he lifted his very first Lombardi Trophy at the University of Phoenix Stadium, his then-secret girlfriend, Camille Kostek, was cheering from the sidelines.
From glances at the stadium to attending events together, both Gronkowski and Kostek have come a long way. While speaking to Sirius XM, Kostek revealed a few more details about their relationship, which was restricted due to the binds of their contract.
"The last time I was in Arizona, I cannot believe it, was 2015, Super Bowl XLIX. New England Patriots vs Seahawks. Malcolm Butler had the interception. I was on the sideline as a New England Patriots cheerleader.
"Rob was my secret boyfriend at the time, we had been dating two years but it's against the contract so, no fraternization policy but love wins all so we're dating and uh, it was actually kind of crazy. It was such a life moment for us that we'll never forget."
The SI swimsuit model went on to describe the celebration, which had her making confetti snow angels with other cheerleaders. Gronkowski was celebrating with Tom Brady and Robert Kraft while holding his very first Lombardi trophy.
"We could make like one little eye glance at each other, we'd be like, 'oh my gosh, everyone knows.' I would like, whisper like, 'I love you', or like, 'I'm so proud of you.' And this was his first Super Bowl win."
Rob Gronkowski had another player give Camille Kostek his number on a poster
Just like the secrecy they had to maintain, Kostek and Rob Gronkowski started dating after a direct move and some meddling.
While at Miami Swim Week recently, Kostek explained how she ended up calling the retired Patriots star. It was a charity event in 2013, and Kostek was representing the cheerleaders. Gronkowski was there for the football players.
Apparently, she might not have called Gronkowski if not for a gentle nudge.
"Jermaine Wiggins, an alumni player, brought this poster over and said, ‘Just take this, Rob has his number on there,’” Kostek said.
Sure that she was going to get fired, Kostek hestitated.
"But then I called him, and I had to keep it a secret for, like, two years—fun fact.”
Nearly two years later, in 2015, Kostek posted a photo with Rob Gronkowski, confirming their relationship.
