The Bills Mafia came to the rescue of Buffalo Bills players as they struggled to make their way to the airport to catch their flight to Detroit.

The Bills are scheduled to play their game against the Cleveland Browns at the Detroit Lions' Ford Field. The game was originally scheduled to be held in Buffalo, but the lingering effects of the snowstorm forced the league to alter their plans. The area saw up to six feet of snow, which made playing impossible.

But when such a severe snowstorm hits anywhere, there are additional challenges pertaining to logistics beyond playing. Namely, the Bills players still had to get out of their houses and make it to the airport to catch a flight so that they could arrive in Detroit. Given the volume of snowfall, it was particularly tough for the players to shovel it all on their own and make it out safely.

That's when the Bills Mafia sprung into action. Recognized as one of the strongest support bases out there in the NFL, they took on the role of good Samaritans and neighbors. They came with shovels and blowers to clear the way for players to make their way out of their residences and towards the team facility. From the facility, they were to make their way to the airport.

Aided by their efforts, all turned out well as they safely departed Buffalo for their "home game" in Detroit. But even if their fans are not there in person, the sendoff would have shown the players that they are there in spirit.

Bills v Browns in Detroit: What to expect?

Buffalo will go into the game with a 6-3 record compared to a 3-6 record for the Cleveland Browns. But they will have to play without homefield advantage. Consecutive three-point losses to the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings have seen them drop to third in the AFC East.

The wins against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers seem to have been a long time ago. There are question marks about the overall health of star quarterback Josh Allen as well, with him nursing an elbow injury.

The Browns, meanwhile, have welcomed back controversial quarterback Deshaun Watson to practice. However, he is not eligible to play in this game and can only be activated on December 4. Their last game was also against an AFC East team when they were soundly beaten by the Miami Dolphins.

It promises to be a great game and Detroit fans will hope that both teams serve up a treat.
