Super Bowl LVII featured a thrilling matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. While the Chiefs eventually came away with the victory, they faced a difficult path within the game to get there. It was a tale of two halves in a way, with each one being fairly dominated by a different team. The Eagles carried a commanding 24-14 lead entering halftime, which the Chiefs overcame.

The Chiefs really looked like a different team in the second half than they did in the first one. They outscored the Eagles 24-11 in the second half of Super Bowl LVII on their way to an exciting 38-35 victory. Head coach Andy Reid must have given them an inspiring speech at halftime, while making the proper adjustments to overcome the alarming deficit.

Andy Reid was asked about his halftime speech the following morning during an interview with Peter King. Reid said:

"I talked to them and just said, 'Listen, we're right there. We are right there. 10 points.' I said, 'What I just told you is that 10 points is nothing here. We could take care of this. Everybody just calm down and do your jobs. Don't worry about anything else. Just do your job and it will all work out.' "

Andy Reid apparently kept it simple with his team during his halftime speech. He preached not to worry about the situation or the score, but to just do their assigned jobs on every play and the result will work itself out. This shows the level of confidence he has in his team, truly believing they didn’t need to do anything extra besides being themselves to achieve a comeback victory.

Whatever Reid said, it apparently worked to perfection. The Chiefs offense was basically unstoppable in the second half of the game, scoring on all of their possessions. Patrick Mahomes threw two of his three touchdown passes during the second half, despite playing on a sprained ankle that was reaggrevated in the first half of the game.

Further adding to his success is his consistent dominance and impressive longevity. Of the 14 head coaches with multiple Super Bowl rings, just four of them have also won 200 games during their NFL careers. Andy Reid is now officially one of them, joining Bill Belichick, Don Shula and Tom Landry. Reid has propelled himself to be among some of the greatest coaches in NFL history.
