What happened to 'purplereignera' Chuck? Ravens fan committing suicide leaves fans shocked

Being a fan of a sports team can be difficult, especially when it's a historically struggling franchise like the Cleveland Browns. However, even for more successful franchises like the Baltimore Ravens, fan support can be fickle, as even a short down period can take its toll on the people cheering for the team.

This year, the Ravens, eager to rebound from a somewhat disappointing season, have made waves by pairing recently extended Lamar Jackson with top wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. However, at least one fan will not get to see how well the two will mesh: a Twitter user "purplereignera". On Saturday afternoon, he posted this foreboding tweet:

Not much is known about purplereignera, except that his real name was apparently Chuck. He had two sons, and he went by the name hotboychuckie on Instagram.

According to his Instagram, he had apparently been living with a Baltimore-based entrepreneur and influencer Stephanie Skyy:

According to the official account of the Baltimore Ravens' Around the Block sub-network, Chuck shot himself dead.

Purplereignera had also foreshadowed his suicide via Instagram Stories, saying that he had been dealing with a multitude of problems, including the death of a friend he called "Black"/"Dev", a recurring gambling problem, and a troubled past with his father (screenshot below courtesy of his account, named @hotboychuckie):
