Former NFL defensive back Vontae Davis found himself in some trouble this weekend as he was arrested in South Florida. According to talk show host Andy Slater, Davis was arrested for DUI on Saturday.
He reportedly crashed into a disabled car on the side of the highway, which hit a person next to it, after he fell asleep at the wheel.
According to Slater, Davis told cops that he only had two mixed drinks and was coming back from a club. But when he was asked why he was sleeping on the road, the former NFL player said he was tired.

As a result, Davis was charged with a misdemeanour count of DUI alcohol or drugs.

Vontae Davis was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft at No. 25 overall, by the Miami Dolphins.
Davis spent three seasons with the Dolphins before being traded to the Indianapolis Colts. He was traded in exchange for Colts' second-round pick (54th overall) and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft.
He saw the most success with the Colts, earning two Pro Bowl nods, in 2014 and 2015.
Before the start of the 2018 season, Davis signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. During the team's game against the Los Angeles Chargers on September 16, 2018, Davis removed himself from the game and quit during halftime. He retired after the game.
Davis spoke with the media and said that leaving was "therapeutic."
"I went to the bench after that series and it just hit me. I don't belong on that field anymore."
"Leaving was therapeutic. I left everything the league wanted me to be, playing for my teammates while injured, the gladiator mentality, it all just popped. And when it popped, I just wanted to leave it all behind. So that's why I don't care what people say. That experience was personal and not meant for anyone else to understand. It was me cold turkey leaving behind an identity that I carried with me for so long."
"My intention was not to hurt my teammates. In that moment, my intuition was telling me I don't belong on that field anymore."
While Davis got into minor trouble this weekend, he will notably be remembered for his infamous walk off the field, and he did so before Antonio Brown did it.
