Yes. Mac Jones had the highest GPA among his University of Alabama football team. Jones was one of 15 football players who graduated from the University of Alabama in December 2019, but the then redshirt sophomore stood out from his teammates, thanks to a staggering 4.0 GPA.

Jones gave a speech on his graduation day:

"It was exciting; our academic staff does an excellent job of pushing us through quickly, you could say, but in a good way, just because you can get more degrees. Three years gives you opportunities. Honestly, I could get two more degrees just because my master's program will be one year, then I can go to another master's program. I wonder if many guys do that, but the better the degrees. I might take advantage of it."
