Aaron Rodgers is yet to decide on his future

Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers and his offseasons have been made infamous due to the kinds of things he does. While not everyone's cup of tea, whatever he does seems to work and work well for him.

Rodgers is going on what he calls a "darkness retreat" this offseason. This entails four days of complete darkness so he can be within himself and come to a decision. This decision wouldn't only be about his footballing future, but also any other issues or questions he may have about himself.

Rodgers was speaking on The Pat McAfee Show in his weekly spot on Tuesday and gave viewers a little insight into what life will be for those four days.

“It's just wrapping your head around the silence and then dealing with your thoughts and everything that comes with the isolation and the darkness... the beauty in this retreat is there's an open door. So if at any time you are like, you know what, I can't take this anymore, [you can] walk out the door.
“You can come out. You can go back in if you want. I think the design is to sit in those tough moments.... I'm going to be here four days. I'm gonna eat once a day, I'm going to rest and try and find the deepest amount of rest and relaxation. And when I do, then I'm trusting that the right messages and intuition will come through."

Rodgers added:

“Before, like before you turn the lights off, you get a good mental image of the room and make sure you know where the pisser is and where the bathtub is and where the food comes in.”

Will Aaron Rodgers' darkness retreat give him the desired answer about his future?
