Michael Oher has become one of the most popular football players of this generation because of his backstory. He spent eight seasons in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl title with the Baltimore Ravens.

Oher retired from football five years ago, after an impressive career as an offensive tackle. But Oher continues to amaze many even after retirement by helping local communities via his Oher Foundation.

Since his retirement, Oher has used his platform and status to provide assistance to different communities that are struggling to make ends meet. One of the main missions of the Oher Foundation is to provide young men without financial aid an opportunity to get to the best campus and college programs to highlight their talents.

Oher was also the star attraction and inspiration behind Michael Lewis' book, 'The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.' Oher also wrote his autobiography, which was released in 2011, titled 'I Beat the Odds'. In it, the former NFL star highlighted his struggles and childhood trauma that he overcame to succeed in the league.

Oher also worked on his mental health after drawing curtains on his football career. He currently continues to help people get their daily needs met via his app, Good Deeds. The app allows people and communities to connect and provides necessities such as shoes, clothing, school supplies, and more.
