The Denver Broncos have been weighing their options for their new stadium plan, which includes the potential to remain in Empower Field at Mile High. However, Justin Wingerter of BusinessDen has reported that the Broncos have acquired a property valued around $146 million close to the state-owned Burnham Yard.

A social media post by "Guerilla Sports" featured some photographs of the sight. Some NFL fans raced to the comment section to applaud the Broncos' choice of location for the new stadium.

"Where it should be for sure. That land needs to be redeveloped badly. Such a burned out eyesore currently," one fan said.

"Great Location!!! Make it happen," another fan said.
"This area is far better and twice the size of the space they use in Glendale for the Arizona Cardinals. Light rail within walking distance, Broncos Training Center, Centennial airport, water and power all close by, hospital. Lots of room for attractions and parking. No brainer," a fan commented.

"This could be a MASSIVE win for fans. Would be really cool for the new stadium to remain relatively close to downtown instead of moving all the way out to the DIA area," another fan said.

Meanwhile, some fans have expressed disapproval of any potential decision to build a new stadium at Burnham Yard, citing a variety of reasons for their stance.

"This area doesn't look to be an area where you'd build a stadium, if I'm honest. Interesting to see what happens in the near future," one fan said.
"They need to build near the training facility. Lonetree is a much better part of town and has 2 highways right there," another fan said.

There has been a lot of chatter that the Broncos will eventually choose to move to a new stadium. The team has officially said that nothing has been decided yet. The Broncos will have a much better chance of hosting big sporting occasions like the Super Bowl if they play in a new stadium in Burnham Yard, Lone Tree, or another location.

Denver Broncos' lease on Empower Field won't expire until 2031

A spokesperson for the Denver Broncos has reportedly said that the team won't drop a statement about the reported purchase at Burnham park, but they are still considering their stadium alternatives. The team's lease on Empower Field is scheduled to end following the 2030 season.

Owner Greg Penner revealed three months ago that the Broncos are focused on searching for new locations in Denver, Lone Tree and Aurora. The property near the Burnham Yard is roughly a mile away from Empower Field and has historically served as the site of rail operations.

The Broncos' ownership group has consistently shown willingness to invest in upgrading the team's facilities, which could mean that a new stadium may be the next priority.
