JuJu Smith-Schuster is an American wide receiver who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. Smith-Schuster is among the most popular players in the sport, thanks to his speed, power plays, and creative in-game dances (which opposing fans aren't exactly huge fans of).

There is no real information about JuJu Smith-Schuster's biological father, as it was reported that he left while JuJu Smith-Schuster was still a toddler. However, some facts are known about Smith-Schuster's adopted father, who goes by the name Lawrence Schuster.

Lawrence Schuster is said to have been in his life as a father and a supportive one. As a result, the footballer legally changed his last name from "Smith" to "Smith-Schuster" while in college as a tribute. In 2019, after he signed a new eight-million dollar-per-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Smith-Schuster bought his stepdad a brand new truck. Finally, it's worth noting that Lawrence taught him both football and rugby as a child.

While a lot can't be said about both his biological father and his adopted father, the same cannot be said about his mother, Sammy Schuster. Sammy Schuster is JuJu Smith-Schuster's biggest supporter, and she can be regularly seen supporting her son in the stands at NFL games. Sandy Schuster does not joke about her son's well-being, as even today, she defends him from trolls and hecklers.

Sammy Schuster had five more kids after JuJu with Lawrence, and JuJu Smith-Schuster babysits them anytime he's back home in South Carolina. Smith-Schuster shares a very beautiful relationship with his mom, and she says that this relationship keeps the fame from getting to his head. You can also spot pictures of them on his official Instagram page.

How is JuJu Smith-Schuster performing this season?

Smith-Schuster is playing in his first season away from the team that drafted him into the NFL in 2017. His time with the Pittsburgh Steelers was productive, but after a 2021 season ravaged by injury, Smith-Schuster needed a change of scenery. What better change of scenery than becoming a wide receiver for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs?

In his first seven games in Kansas City, Smith-Schuster has put up stats of 34 receptions in 48 targets, 494 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns. Smith-Schuster is getting used to the Kansas offense, and he's clearly up for the challenge of playing for a perennial Super Bowl contender.
