The New Orleans Saints will face off against the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 7 Thursday night matchup. This game will see two vastly different styles collide, as the run-heavy offense of the Saints will be paying a visit to the pass-first Arizona offense. The game is set, but the question of who will start under center for New Orleans is still up in the air.

Their quarterback room for has been one of the most interesting in the league since Taysom Hill joined in 2017. There has always been an air of mystery about the position due to the verstility that Hill brings. The main issue in recent times is that starting quarterback Jameis Winston has been injured. He tore his ACL last season and has had four fractured vertebrae in his back this campaign. With his return imminent, will he start in Week 7?

Though it is not 100% certain, Andy Dalton looks set to get the nod against the Cardinals.

Winston is simply too valuable to risk rushing back, especially with the nature of his injury. With Dalton available, the likelihood is that Winston will be nursed back slowly.

How have the Saints' quarterbacks faired this season?

Andy Dalton is a backup QB who has started in Winston's absence. He is a solid quarterback and a decent safety blanket for a team built around the running talents of perennial Pro Bowler Alvin Kamara. With Winston training this week, his return is coming soon.

New Orleans' quarterback play has been a mixed bag this season, with their performances being inconsistent. Winston has played four games this season and has racked up four touchdowns and five interceptions. Dalton has played in the last three games and has racked up three touchdowns against a lone interception.

Then there's Taysom Hill, the Saints' Swiss army knife. He is so versatile that he can't seem to lock up any position. He plays backup for Dalton and Winston at QB and is also a tight end. He rarely plays under center, but when he does, it's usually to run the ball on important downs.

With their season quickly falling away from them, the 2-4 New Orleans need to come away with a win in Week 7 against the Cardinals.
