Rapper Lil Wayne is as much a die-hard Packers fan as you can find. The 40-year-old superstar loves everything about the franchise. From Aaron Rodgers (we will get to that later) to the towel-waving, Wayne loves it all.

Back in 2015, the rapper appeared on ESPN's First Take and gave an insight into why he is a Packers fan. Wayne said via The Huff Post:

"The Packers won, pops came home with Packers everything, cups, towels."

"They get put with the real towels [at home]. You bathe and use those towels every day and those cups are used every day. I had to use a Green Bay Packers cup, a Green Bay Packers towel every day. I'm a Green Bay fan forever."

It is clear that Lil Wayne, like most fans, grew up supporting a team due to their parents and in Wayne's case, his father. A life-long fan, Wayne has seen his Packers win just one Super Bowl since 2011 and going by the events of this season, he will have to wait even longer for another.

The rapper's love of his Packers is being severely tested right now. If things weren't bad enough heading into Sunday's clash with the Detroit Lions, what transpired has caused the rapper to express his thoughts via social media.

The Packers slumped to their fifth consecutive loss after the Lions' defense took them to task in a 15-9 win. Now, sitting at 3-6 and multiple games behind the 7-1 Vikings, it looks like the season is over and Wayne has had enough of Rodgers. He wrote on Twitter that Packers should have got rid of AR12 before the season.

"RIP to the season we should’ve gotten rid of 12 before the season."

That is certainly a strong statement from someone who loves his team. With no Davante Adams or Nathaniel Hackett, Green Bay has imploded through nine games.

While the rapper's feelings could be similar to many Packers fans, it is unlikely that anything will happen to Rodgers this season at least. Keep in mind, Jordan Love is waiting in the wings.

It does seem like the season is over for Lil Wayne's team and it won't get any easier next week. They face the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field and have a host of injury concerns with Aaron Jones, Romeu Doubs, and Eric Stokes all in serious doubt.

The bad season is just getting worse.
