Former New England Patriots star Willie McGinest is in big trouble.

The three-time Super Bowl champion and NFL Network analyst was caught attacking a man and bashing a bottle on his head on CCTV camera at Delilah, an upscale restaurant in West Hollywood.

In a video released by TMZ, McGinest is seen approaching a man sitting alone at a table. The former NFL star leaned in and exchanged words with the man at the table before he and three acquaintances viciously attacked him, punching and kicking him to the ground as bystanders tried to intervene and stop the fight. McGinest also attacked the man with a bottle of wine, using it as a weapon and bashing him on the head with it.

The skirmish lasted for about a minute before McGinest and his acquaintances walked away from the scene. Towards the end of the footage, the man is seen wiping his face with a napkin while continuing to talk to someone at a distance. He was helped to his feet by a couple of men in suits, who seemed to be employees of the restaurant.


Willie McGinest arrested: Patriots legend booked on assault charge

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to TMZ that they had arrested Willie McGinest on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. The Patriots legend was arrested at 7:30 am, but posted $30,000 bail and was released from police custody at 9:46 am.

The New England Patriots drafted Willie McGinest with the fourth pick in the first round of the 1994 NFL draft. He spent 12 seasons with the team and played four Super Bowls, winning three. The linebacker spent the last three years of his career with the Cleveland Browns before retiring in 2008. He was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2015. After retiring from the NFL, McGinest joined the NFL Network as an analyst.
