Will Allen Lazard play in week 4? Jets WR's status revealed for Broncos clash - Source: Imagn

Allen Lazard and the New York Jets will be back in action on Sunday after a 10-day break following their 24-3 stomping of the New England Patriots 24-3 on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. The long break seems to have done wonders for their players' health as they have minimal injury concerns heading into their Week 4 clash against the Denver Broncos.

Offensive lineman Morgan Moses, who is nursing a knee injury, is the only player who has been ruled out of the game on Sunday. Linebacker C.J. Mosley has been listed as doubtful on the Jets' injury report and will likely be on the sidelines.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be ecstatic that none of his weapons, including Lazard, have any injury concerns ahead of their clash against the Broncos.

Will Allen Lazard play in Week 4?

The wide receiver's name hasn't appeared on the team's injury report throughout the week, suggesting he was a full participant in practice and will suit up and play on Sunday.

Allen Lazard had an exceptional outing in the Jets' season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. He finished the game with six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns and was the only impactful player on offense for New York in the 32-19 loss.

He had an underwhelming outing in the Jets' win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, as he finished the game with only two catches for 11 yards. He bounced back with a decent display against the Patriots, hauling in three passes for 48 receiving yards and a touchdown.

With his three touchdowns, Lazard had already tripled his TD total from last season and is quickly establishing himself as Rodgers' go-to option in the red zone and on deep balls. With Garrett Wilson often covered by the opposition's top cornerback if not double-teamed, the veteran quarterback's second read is seemingly always the 29-year-old receiver.

Allen Lazard had two productive years with the Green Bay Packers in 2021 and 2022. He then followed Rodgers to New York, signing a four-year, $44 million with the franchise in the 2023 offseason.

After Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury in Week 1, Lazard failed to find any synergy with any of the other three signal-callers the team fielded. He finished the year with a dismal 23 catches for 311 yards and one touchdown in 14 games.

Now, Lazard has found his groove with Rodgers back under center and is seemingly set to play a prominent role this year.
