The Kansas City Chiefs (10-1) will face the Las Vegas Raiders (2-9) on Sunday. After missing the Chiefs' game against the Panthers, fans have been speculating whether Taylor Swift will appear during the Chiefs' Week 13 clash against the Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.
Taylor Swift missed the Chiefs vs. Panthers game due to a last-minute call. Considering the less than 12-hour gap between the start of the Chiefs game and her last Eras Tour concert in Toronto, the 14-time Grammy Award winner may have missed that game due to a hectic travel schedule.
That might not be the case with the Chiefs vs. Raiders. First, Taylor Swift has rarely missed a Chiefs game played at Arrowhead Stadium. Second, the "Blank Space" singer has no concert until Dec. 6. Therefore, Swift will most likely appear at Arrowhead to cheer for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Chiefs President broke silence on claims calling Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship a 'marketing stunt'
Since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift started dating last year, the NFL has benefited from the buzz surrounding the couple. The "Shake It Off" Space singer faced massive trolling from fans for her excessive on-screen coverage by the league.
There have also been claims that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship is a marketing stunt that benefits the NFL and the Chiefs. However, Chiefs president Mark Donovan called out such claims during an appearance on the Squawk Box last week.
"I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship, and we’re happy to have it," Donovan said. "It’s been nothing but good for us. I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is: Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom,” he added.
"She is an authentic fan, and that matters to our fans and our fanbase, and it matters to us and we try to respect that," Donovan said.
The Kansas City Chiefs have an amazing record (10-1) with just one loss in the 2024 season, against the Buffalo Bills by 30-21. Their recent outing saw the Chiefs register a 30-27 Panthers win and they look forward to maintaining their dominance in the upcoming clash against the Raiders.
