Former Tennessee Titans tackle Taylor Lewan starred in an embarrassing moment on Thursday. He took a different challenge in a different field and failed at it.
As the St. Louis Cardinals hosted the Kansas City Royals at Busch Stadium in the final matchup of their three-game series, Lewan had the chance to throw the ceremonial first pitch.
Lewan warned fans about a video of himself not throwing a pitch that didn't go as planned. On Friday, he tweeted the following on X:

"Currently at the @Cardinals game, and there’s something I need to get ahead of. A video will be surfacing of me throwing a pitch from the mound. Let’s just say… the haters are going to have an absolute field day. It is a beautiful stadium though."

He then reacted to the video, shared by the official X account of his "Bussin' With The Boys" show, saying it was "the worst day of his career."
"This is the worst day of my athletic career and that includes the Chandler Jones game. I need redemption."
Lewan, visibly upset about that situation, threw his hat into the field and started doing pushups as a punishment.
His suffering didn't end there, as ESPN's morning show, "First Take," reacted to Lewan's blunder. This might have had a deeper meaning, as Stephen A. Smith, the main analyst of the show, also starred in an embarrassing moment on the mound.
"This is exactly what I need today, gotta sit in this for 24 hours then get to work. Redemption story loading," he said.
Taylor Lewan played nine years in the NFL, all with the Titans. He retired in 2022 as a three-time Pro Bowler, playing 105 games (100 starts) and tallying 56 penalties.
Taylor Lewan left Barstool Sports at the start of 2025
After six years under the Barstool Sports' umbrella, Taylor Lewan and Will Compton's successful podcast, "Bussin' With The Boys," decided to leave the platform, leaving Dave Portnoy in a complicated position, as he wanted to keep the show.
"It sucks, I told Bussin’ I made what I think was my most aggressive move to keep them," Portnoy said in January. "But this is the world that we’re in. Whether it’s Jenna Marbles, (Alex) Cooper, (Pat) McAfee, them, Caleb (Pressley), there’s always more value for a company taking talent than already here. But they’re like (Jared) Carrabis times a million. They got an offer that was so big, it’s like I can’t [match].”
Lewan and Compton's show continues to enjoy success, but the former Titans tackle's popularity could backfire after his mistake in St. Louis.
