Philadelphia Eagles center Travis Kelce tweeted an invite to embattled Kansas City Chiefs superfan ChiefsAholic to appear on the New Heights podcast. The older Kelce hosts the program with his brother, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The All-Pro offensive lineman reached out to the fan via Twitter. He said:

“Chiefsaholic, I don’t know where you are, but my brother and I would love to have you on @newheightshow to tell your story. We will go wherever, and disclose nothing for the sake of journalism.”

New Heights is co-produced by the Kelce Brothers and Wave Sports + Entertainment.

ChiefsAholic, whose real name is Xaviar Michael Babudar, has been a permanent fixture in Chiefs games because of his wolf suit. Other fans would take pictures of him, and he often rallied fellow Chiefs supporters during tailgates. He has been a constant presence in every Chiefs game, with fans wondering why he wasn’t around during the team’s Week 15 game against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.

His absence caused a frenzy within the Chiefs fandom, leading fans to notify the team’s official account and seek help about ChiefsAholic being missing in action.

While the Kelces are willing to give Babudar a platform to air his side, they could be treading a thin line of obstruction of justice, especially if the authorities ask about the felon’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, Babudar seems to have responded by using Twitter account @mahomes4416

While Chiefs fans never saw Babudar out of his wolf suit, they still revered him as an institution among fellow supporters. He even has a Twitter account, wherein he shares his thoughts with over 40,000 followers. That’s why alarm bells rang when he was not around during the Texans game.

Little did other fans know that Babudar was already in jail for allegedly robbing Tulsa Teacher’s Credit Union in Oklahoma. He was arrested on December 16, two days before the Chiefs defeated the Texans in overtime to score their 11th win in 14 games.

According to a report from Fox 4 KC, Babudar wore a paintball mask and used a CO2 pistol to threaten an employee while requesting to open the vault. He left the credit union on a bicycle before getting arrested with the cash he took.

He appeared in court and asked for a public defender because he could not afford the legal fees. However, he was able to pay the $80,000 bond, granting him temporary release. Consequently, though, he had to wear a monitored ankle bracelet and stay in Tulsa County until he got a verdict.

Unfortunately, his case manager received a notification on March 25 that his monitor’s strap had been tampered with and potentially taken off. They found the monitor the next day, but Babudar had cut the strap and was nowhere to be found, adding another blemish to his criminal record.

Former NFL player and media personality Pat McAfee criticized Babudar for his actions. On a recent episode of his eponymous show, he said:

"Now ChiefsAholic is on the run. He did not make bail. He did not post bail, and he is on the go. Everybody keep your eyes peeled for a wolf with a gun headed to a bank near you. This wolf could be f**king anywhere… Have the Chiefs sign somebody, have there be a public event, this f**king wolf is watering his way right in there.”
