Former Pittsburgh Steelers S Terrell Edmunds

Terrell Edmunds became a Pittsburgh Steelers fan favorite during his time with the franchise. Sadly for Pittsburgh fans, his time with the team looks to be coming to an end. Edmunds took to Twitter to share a farewell post, along with some memories of his time playing for the team. All signs indicate that he will be in another uniform come the 2023 NFL season.

Steelers fans took to Twitter to express their love for the team's first-round selection in the 2018 draft.

A couple of Steelers fans aren't happy that the team didn't re-sign Edmunds:

Edmunds expressed his love for the city of Pittsburgh, the Steelers coaching staff, and the fans in his tweet.

Edmunds said:

“Thank you Pittsburgh for making my dreams come to reality! You will forever be a part of me and my journey! I’m thankful for all of my coaches, teammates and every fan supporting! To my bruddas y’all kno how we rockin, it’s gonna be luv until the wheels fall off.”

Terrell Edmunds played in 79 games over the course of five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Virginia Tech Hokies player racked up 410 tackles, 26 passes defended, and five interceptions with the Steelers. Edmunds didn't disclose where his next destination would be.

Where could Terrell Edmunds land this offseason?

The 26-year-old safety will be a free agent for the first time in his NFL career as there are some teams that could use his services. The Cincinnati Bengals saw their former star safety Jessie Bates III sign with the Atlanta Falcons this offseason. Edmunds could easily step into the starting role in place of Bates in the Bengals' defense.

The other team is the Minnesota Vikings, despite their re-signing veteran safety Harrison Smith. Last season, Minnesota allowed the second-most passing yards in the league. Edmunds might be the piece that the team looks at to help on the backend defensively with Smith.

Another possible team could be the defending NFC Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. The team lost C.J. Gardner-Johnson to free agency, leaving a massive gap at the safety position.

However, fans will see where Terrell Edmunds lands for his sixth season in the league.
