Aaron Rodgers is currently in his 18th NFL season as the Green Bay Packers' star QB. While his game has undergone multiple changes over the years, Rodgers is also focusing on his personal growth and journey. After all, he has to think about life after retirement.

During a recent interview with Men's Health, Rodgers discussed his many healing techniques, meditation, and a short trip focusing on ayahuasca tea.

The player has grown close to Aubrey Marcus, a podcaster and founder of the brand Onnit. Together, Rodgers and Marcus have travelled thousands of miles in search of a better life and understanding.

A standout was his three-night ayahuasca ceremony. The four-time NFL MVP was seeking enlightenment, while focusing on self-forgiveness and unconditional love.

Ultimately, Aaron Rodgers found the peace he was looking for. He said:

“There’s a lot of trust. And surrender, I think, is another good word. You have to surrender to the master plant teacher that is ayahuasca, and there’s naturally some fear around that. And when you do, some pretty incredible things can happen, as was evidenced by night two of my most recent journey".

He broke down his experience properly, mentioning how he went from a 'little resistant' to accepting the process.

Is Aaron Rodgers willing to try the ayahuasca ceremony again?

Despite his positive words for the ceremony, Rodgers is not sure about repeating it. However, that can change in the future. In the same interview, he continued:

“If I feel called to sit with that plant medicine or another plant medicine, I will. But at this at this particular moment, I don’t feel called."

Adding on to his words about meditation and peace, Aaron Rodgers revealed how doing the dishes at home comes close to meditation for him. He can achieve a sense of calm with the process, something to help him focus.

After playing for nearly two decades, Rodgers has to focus on his health and life off the field.

That being said, many are already raising questions and discussing Rodgers' apparently overdue retirement. However, the 39-year-old revealed his own view on extending his time with the Packers.

"Keeping those guys around would definitely give me something to look forward to. "Because those relationships are so important to me, but also important the roles that they play on our football team..."

Of course, Rodgers is also focused on his own well-being:

"First and foremost is going to be my own physical and mental health and how I'm feeling about committing to, you know, another year to three down the road, that grind.

The Packers, currently in a tough situation, would love to have some clarity from Aaron Rodger's side.
