Shannon Sharpe has never been afraid to speak his mind throughout his NFL career and as an analyst on the Fox Sports 1 show "Undisputed." The former NFL star is usually called out on social media for a number of things, this time for casual racism. However, many fans on Twitter came to Sharpe's defense when a fan made the accusation against Sharpe.
Many fans went after the fan who asked why Sharpe does not have white guests on his podcast "Club Shay Shay":

Sharpe himself even asked the fan which white guests he should book on his podcast:
The question came about as Sharpe had actor/comedian Jay Pharaoh on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast. Many fans have noted that the "Undisputed" co-host has had a white guest on the podcast. One such guest was Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. During the episode, Kelce and Sharpe discussed topics such as the evolution of the tight end position and Kelce's draft night.
Shannon Sharpe has spoken on the matter of race when it comes to the NFL. Last month, the Indianapolis Colts hired Jeff Saturday as their interim head coach. The Hall of Famer-turned-NFL analyst dug into his displeasure with the move.
Shannon Sharpe on race and the hiring of Jeff Saturday
On an episode of "Undisputed," Sharpe said a person of color wouldn't have gotten the job the way Saturday did without a lack of experience.
Sharpe said:
"This is not a knock on Jeff ... but there’s a reason why he was available. You know you glad he was available. There’s a reason why what I’m about to say is not an indictment on the individual.
"I never get upset because someone got a job. Ain’t no way in hell a black guy getting a job like this. They’re sitting around doing what we do on one of these daily shows. The number one thing about black coaches don’t get the job. He got no experience."
While some fans may disagree with how Shannon Sharpe sees race, one thing is for sure: he'll never back down.
