"He thinks he's Jesus Christ" - NFL fans troll Russell Wilson over his peculiar pre-game training routine before London game against Jaguars

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has been an outspoken Christian throughout his NFL career. He's never been shy about it, constantly leading postgame prayers with teammates and rivals alike. He also prays before games, sometimes in the middle of the field with everyone watching him. Ahead of his bout with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he was seen doing so.

For most of his career, he was a good enough quarterback that his fans looked past the oddities of his personality and what he chose to do before or after games. It didn't matter if he spent time praying before a game if his team was winning those games.

However, with the Broncos, Wilson has struggled mightily. The team is 2-5 and they haven't looked good on offense in the majority of those games. As a result, fans are growing a bit tired of the quarterback's habits, including pre-game prayers. They took this opportunity to brutally troll the former Seattle Seahawks quarterback.

The Broncos have struggled and are attached to Wilson for several years, so his strange behavior is beginning to wear on their fan base. If they turn it around, then it will probably be less irksome.

Are the Denver Broncos going to be forced to move on from Russell Wilson?

After trading with the Seahawks to get their new quarterback, the Broncos are probably very frustrated, especially seeing how well Geno Smith is playing in Seattle. To make things worse, they extended Russell Wilson through 2028, so they're stuck with him and his oddities until then. That is unless they decide to cut their losses and move on or trade him elsewhere.

That's not likely, though. Finding a trade partner would be a challenge and cutting him would be an incredibly costly move. What is more likely is that rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett will be fired.

He's the most likely head coach to be fired this season and he's much easier to part with than their quarterback. The pairing hasn't worked out, but a new, better head coach might be able to resurrect Russell Wilson's career.
