NFL fantasy football divisional playoffs: Quarterback rankings

AFC Wild Card Playoffs - Los Angeles Chargers v Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence

Fantasy Football leagues for the NFL playoffs follow a unique structure. In traditional formats, fantasy teams will lose players from their rosters as NFL teams are eliminated from the playoffs. This makes it absolutely necessary to draft players on teams that advance in the NFL Playoffs. Failure to do so will leave fantasy rosters depleted.

Another format for postseason leagues follows more of a DFS model. Managers have the opportunity to create a new lineup each week using all of the available players still remaining in the NFL Playoffs. No matter the format of a fantasy league, quarterbacks have always been some of the most important players. This is because they consistently score the most fantasy points.

As the NFL playoffs have shifted from the wild card round to the divisional round, so too have the postseason Fantasy Football leagues. Only eight starting quarterbacks will be available this week. This includes six quarterbacks from winning teams in the wild-card round. They will join Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts from the two bye-week teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

It should come as no surprise that all eight remaining quarterbacks in Fantasy Football played at an elite level during the 2022 NFL season. While they are arguably the most important players in Fantasy Football, they are without question the most important in real-life football. Their performances directly impact a team's overall success every week.
