NFL Fantasy Football Wild Card Playoffs: Quarterback rankings

Baltimore Ravens v Cincinnati Bengals

The 2022 NFL regular season has concluded, but there is still plenty of Fantasy Football left to play. Fantasy leagues for the NFL playoffs are becoming more popular each season. This format presents a unique challenge for fantasy managers, as they have a significantly smaller field of players to choose from when building their teams. This is true for traditional and DFS formats.

Like the regular season, the quarterbacks are some of the most important players in Playoff Fantasy Football. They are still in the highest-scoring position, so their weekly scores can leave the biggest impact on a fantasy team's successes or failures. Managers must always pay attention to the quarterback position to fully optimize their lineups.

The Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs features some important changes to the quarterback's position. The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are each on a bye week. This means Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts will be unavailable for Fantasy Football. Tua Tagovailoa has also been ruled out for the Miami Dolphins, while Lamar Jackson is trending toward being a game-time decision.

Jackson's outlook is seemingly discouraging, as he's failed to play in a game or participate in practice since his injury in Week 13. Tyler Huntley is also dealing with an injury, so Anthony Brown might start against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Dolphins are in a similar situation. Backup Teddy Bridgewater is dealing with a thumb injury, making Skylar Thompson their likely starter against the Buffalo Bills.

The following rankings can help Fantasy Football managers make crucial lineup decisions this week. All direct fantasy matchups are carefully factored into each quarterback's current ranking.
