We are nearly halfway through the 2022 NFL season, and while some of the league's stars have balled out, many others have been disappointments so far this season.

Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes have looked as good as ever, but plenty of fellow superstars have struggled so far this year. Here are five superstars who've struggled so far in 2022.

#5 - Russell Wilson

Since being traded to the Denver Broncos during the 2022 NFL offseason, Russell Wilson has struggled to adapt.

Wilson has only managed five touchdowns against three interceptions in his six starts thus far, and Denver currently sit at 2-5. Wilson has missed some easy reads, and he and new head coach Nathaniel Hackett have struggled to gel.

The Seattle Seahawks look better than ever with Geno Smith at quarterback, and they may have had the last laugh with the trade as Wilson has been below par at best this year.

#4 - Brandin Cooks

Despite putting up six 1000+ yard seasons throughout his career, Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks has been struggling so far in 2022.

Cooks has only amassed 281 receiving yards in six games, averaging just 46 per game. He's only found the end zone once as he struggles to connect with quarterback Davis Mills.

Cooks has been involved in trade rumors over the last week, and a fresh start could unlock what could be an elite wideout.

#3 - Matthew Stafford

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matt Stafford has struggled so far during the 2022 NFL season, despite leading LA to a Super Bowl victory last year.

Stafford has passed for just six touchdowns against eight interceptions. His eight picks rank second in the NFL, behind only Matt Ryan.

Stafford is missing Robert Woods and Odell Beckham Jr., both of whom were lost during the 2022 offseason. He's also struggled to make a connection with newly acquired receiver Allen Robinson, heavily relying on Cooper Kupp and Tyler Higbee.

The Rams' offensive line has also regressed, partly due to injuries and partly due to Andrew Whitworth's retirement. Stafford will be desperate to return to form following the Rams' week seven bye.

#2 - Jonathan Taylor

Despite missing some time due to injury in 2022, Jonathan Taylor has still been a massive disappointment.

Viewed by many as the best running back in football after an excellent 2021 campaign where he topped 1,800 rushing yards, Taylor has under 400 through seven weeks this year.

Dealing with an ankle injury and coping with offensive struggles with the Colts, Taylor has primarily been held in check and only has one touchdown to his name, which came back in Week 1.

Taylor has since returned from injury and will be looking to return to his best, but he may struggle as Matt Ryan has already been benched in favor of the unproven Sam Ehlinger.

#1 - Aaron Rodgers

Despite winning the NFL MVP award in the last two seasons, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has struggled thus far in 2022.

After seven games, Rodgers has passed for 11 touchdowns against three interceptions, but Green Bay currently sit a disappointing 3-4, way off the Vikings, who are 5-1 in the NFC North.

Rodgers hasn't looked himself this year, which could be due to the Packers losing superstar wide receiver Davante Adams in the 2022 off-season. Green Bay lost their key offensive weapon and haven't replaced him, but Rodgers needs to do more to elevate the receivers he does have at his disposal.
