Jackson Mahomes is no stranger to controversy. The younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes has built quite a reputation among NFL fans over the years thanks to his antics over the years.

From pouring bottles of water on Ravens fans to misbehaving with the staff of a local Kansas City bar, there have been several moments when Jackson has stepped over the line.

But perhaps his most disrespectful moment yet was when he released a TikTok of him dancing on Washington legend Sean Taylor's retired number ahead of a game. The team had earlier held a ceremony to honor their deceased player who was mercilessly shot dead back in 2007 aged only 24.

The franchise painted the safety's number on the sideline as a memorial. Incidentally, this was where Jackson ended up shooting his TikTok routine.

NFL fans were understandably not impressed. The social media influencer faced massive backlash for his mistake and later went on to admit his mistake on Twitter:

"I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field. We were directed to stand in that area and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family."

Jackson's brother Patrick, meanwhile, has grown from strength to strength since the incident. Recently claiming his second Super Bowl title with the Chiefs, the QB has solidified the team's odds of being title contenders for years to come.
