The Philadelphia Eagles are enjoying an impressive run of form in the 2024 NFL season. They're on a five-game winning streak and playing playoff-caliber football under Nick Sirianni.
The Eagles' next game is against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football. Let's examine their injury report before the crucial matchup.
Philadelphia Eagles injury report
Nakobe Dean’s injury update
According to Rotowire, Nakobe Dean participated only limitedly in Tuesday's practice estimation. The linebacker was dealing with a groin injury and did not participate in Monday's practice.
Dean is a key part of the Eagles' defensive game plan, and he has racked up 40 tackles and two sacks since the team's bye week in Week 5. Hence, the Eagles will be hoping that he shakes off any injuries leading up to the TNF showdown.
Dallas Goedert’s injury update
Dallas Goedert appeared on the Philadelphia Eagles' estimated practice report on Tuesday as a limited participant. The veteran tight end is dealing with an ankle injury.
Interestingly, the news of Goedert being a limited participant is a positive one, as he didn't participate in Monday's walkthrough. It's also important to note that Goedert only recently returned from an injury that kept him out of action for three games. He was impressive in his return game against the Cowboys, amassing a stat line of two catches, 25 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Darius Slay's injury update
According to the Philadelphia Eagles injury report, Darius Slay participated only limitedly in Tuesday's practice estimate. Just like with Dean and Goedert, it was an upgrade after he did not participate in Monday's walkthrough.
Slay is dealing with an ankle injury sustained in the win against the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran cornerback had to leave the Gridiron at some point but eventually returned to action. He did a solid job covering All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
DeVonta Smith's injury update
DeVonta Smith was a limited participant in Tuesday's estimated practice report. The veteran wide receiver is dealing with a hamstring issue.
Smith featured against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10 and didn't look hurt at any stage. Hence, it's likely that the designation is a mere precaution. Expect him to be available for Thursday Night Football.
