Predicting each AFC East team's record for the 2019 NFL season

I might have whiffed on the Jets' record prediction last season, but I love the additions the franchise has made during the offseason. Trading for 2-time Pro Bowl guard Kelechi Osemele should help reduce the number of hits/sacks that Sam Darnold takes this upcoming season (The Jets ranked 19th in sacks allowed last season with 30).

However, as much as I like the Osemele trade, he certainly can't solve all their holes along the offensive line. The Jets' front seven is one that really caught my attention last season. That defensive front only improved by adding 4-time Pro Bowl linebacker C.J. Mosley. He's a phenomenal acquisition whose production and versatility make him one of the best linebackers in the entire league. Mosley and Avery Williamson should make a great duo at the linebacker position this season.

Don't forget about the 303-pound, one man wrecking crew that is Quinnen Williams, whom the Jets selected with the 3rd overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. He's sure to make his presence felt on Sundays with his unique ability to both stuff the run and get after the quarterback. Williams is going to pair nicely with Leonard Williams, Henry Anderson and Steve McLendon.

I haven't even mentioned the additions of star running back Le'Veon Bell and slot receiver Jamison Crowder, both of whom bring unique abilities that'll greatly benefit Darnold in his sophomore season. For these reasons, I can see the Jets being a borderline playoff team by more than doubling their wins from 2018 (four), with nine in 2019.
