NFL rumors: Browns reveal asking price for Kareem Hunt with RB on trade block

Cleveland Browns v Baltimore Ravens
The Cleveland Browns appear to be ready to trade running back Kareem Hunt.

The Cleveland Browns are 2-5 and have lost their last four games. With the trade deadline less than a week away, it appears that they may be ready to part ways with one of their offensive players.

Running back Kareem Hunt is apparently available on the trade market. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler, the Browns only want a fourth-round draft pick in return for Hunt. That is apparently what other NFL teams believe it will take to trade for the running back.

So far this season, Hunt has had 66 rushing attempts for 263 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Last year, he had just 78 rushing attempts all season for a total of 386 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

Hunt was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He rushed for over 1,300 yards in his rookie season and recorded eight touchdowns. Midway through his second season, he was released by the Chiefs after video footage of him assaulting a woman was made public. He was suspended for eight games at the start of the 2019 NFL season before making his debut with the Browns.

His numbers have improved each season with Cleveland, and he could make a valuable addition to any offense.

When is QB Deshaun Watson going to make his Browns debut?

Cleveland traded for Deshaun Watson in the offseason and are still awaiting his debut. Watson, who hasn't taken the field since the end of the 2020 NFL season, is currently serving an 11 game suspension. This followed a year-long investigation into sexual misconduct accusations from over 20 female massage therapists.

At the beginning of October, Watson was allowed back at Cleveland's training facility. He had not been on the premises or spoken to teammates or staff since training camp concluded.

Along with the game suspension, Watson was ordered by the NFL to pay a fine and undergo therapy. Commissioner Roger Goodell reported that Watson has complied with all aspects of his punishment and is on track to return to the field in Week 13.

This will mean that Watson will make his debut for Cleveland on December 4, against his former team, the Houston Texans.
