Kenneth Walker is the latest example of the Seattle Seahawks striking gold in the NFL Draft. Walker was selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, coming straight out of Michigan State University.

Since joining the league, the rookie RB has taken over backfield duties and staked a claim to be one of the best in the NFL. However, Walker does not give off the air of a rookie but rather of a player with a chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove.

He has been a major contributing factor to the Seahawks' unlikely playoff push, a mere few months after trading away franchise legend Russell Wilson. Walker has kept the Seahawks competitive and ensured that his team keeps their playoff destiny in their own hands.

Kenneth Walker's Fantasy Outlook

Kenneth Walker is built like a tank, with a 5' 9", 211 lbs. stocky build that is tailor-made for his position. Walker is not a receiving threat; he has never been and doesn't have to. However, he is super dangerous on the ground and remains a key component of the Seahawks' run game.

While Walker wasn't able to play in Week 14's painful loss against the Carolina Panthers, he has participated in every practice since then. That is a great sign of his availability. The Seattle Seahawks need him as they play on Thursday with little or no time to rest. Fantasy managers with Walker on their side can sleep easy knowing that he will participate in the Seahawks' week 15 game.

How is Kenneth Walker performing this season?

Kenneth Walker is having an excellent debut season in the NFL. The second-round draft pick carries all the hype he has received as an amateur to the pros, and so far, he hasn't fallen short of expectations.

Walker is a key reason why the Seahawks currently sit at 7-6 for the season. If you want to see just how valuable Walker is to the Seahawks, look at their last loss against the Panthers, a game he unfortunately missed.

In his rookie year, Walker is putting up a stat line of 138 rushing attempts, 649 rushing yards, and nine rushing touchdowns in 11 games.
