Should I drop Dallas Goedert? Week 14 fantasy projection for Cowboys TE amid knee injury

The Philadelphia Eagles are having a great season, but Dallas Goedert has been one of the few disappointments for the team. Nobody doubts the quality of the tight end, but he has been underwhelming in his performances, and the Eagles' offensive scheme does not help him.

After signing Saquon Barkley in free agency, the Eagles doubled down on their offensive approach under Nick Sirianni's leadership. They run the ball at a 59.0% rate, the highest in the league by a huge margin, and when they do pass, A. J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are the primary options.

With Goedert set to once again miss time with a knee injury, it's fair to wonder if you should keep him on your fantasy roster with the playoffs starting.

Should you drop Dallas Goedert for Week 14 fantasy football?

Philadelphia is the team that passes the ball the least amount in the league. They have a good quarterback and two excellent wide receivers, but their bread and butter is really through the ground.

This year, he has just 441 receiving yards and two touchdowns in nine games. For a guy who was considered one of the top players in the position, this has not been one of the best outputs.

His health and inconsistent production certainly hurt your team: except for the game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3, where he had 10 receptions and 170 yards, there was never a great performance from him.

With recent performances and his injury, it's time to drop him from your roster.

Dallas Goedert fantasy outlook for rest of 2024 season

It's unclear when he'll return, but the Eagles have every reason to be cautious with him. With a 10-2 record, their playoff spot is all but assured, and they don't have to play him unless he's 100% healthy. Many are expecting this to be a multi-week injury.

His outlook is not a good one, as he's not expected to do much before the end of the regular season. Even if he does return, his value is low in both standard and PPR leagues. You should release him from your roster.
