After missing the start of the 2024 NFL season as he recovered from a devastating knee injury suffered in 2023, Cleveland Browns superstar Nick Chubb is once again the team's starting running back.
Chubb is RB77 in PPR this year after appearing in only three games so far and finding the end zone just once. He has totaled 113 rushing yards on 42 attempts, averaging just 2.7 yards per carry.
Should you drop Nick Chubb for Week 11 fantasy football?
Unfortunately for Nick Chubb, despite regaining the starting role after his injury woes, he's part of a Cleveland Browns team bereft of confidence. The team sits at 2-7 heading into a Week 10 bye.
The Browns have all but thrown away the 2024 season, trading away stars like Amari Cooper and Za'Darius Smith. They have also lost starting quarterback Deshaun Watson to a season-ending Achilles tear.
Despite the Browns being terrible so far in 2024, you should not drop Chubb if you own him in fantasy football. His slow start to the season could be attributed to his injury recovery and he'll be hoping to ramp up production after the Browns' bye week.
When healthy, he has been one of the best RBs in the NFL, so dropping him to the waiver wire could prove to be a very bad idea.
Nick Chubb fantasy outlook for rest of 2024 season
After appearing in just three games so far in 2024, Nick Chubb's fantasy football numbers don't jump off the screen. But there's every chance he can get back to his best for the rest of the season.
Chubb is now the clear RB1 in Cleveland ahead of Jerome Ford and D'Onta Foreman, meaning if he stays healthy he can easily see 20 touches per game.
According to fantasypros.com, Chubb and the other Browns RBs have the 26th-easiest schedule for the position for the rest of the season. Despite the tough opposition, Chubb's volume should lead to some fantasy football production as we head toward fantasy playoff season.
